A recent nationwide poll of nearly 1,500 Junior Achievement students, ages 13 - 18, indicated that 71% wanted to be self-employed at some point.
Additionally, research from the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation of Entrepreneurship found that among children as young as 9 -- 12 years old, more than four out of every 10 (41%) would like to start their own business.
